AMD Price Move - 1st August

On 1st August 2005, there will be a price move on the following products:

• Athlon™ 64 X2 4800+, 4600+, 4400+, 4200+ , 3800+
• Athlon™ 64 4000+, 3800+, 3700+, 3500+
• Sempron™ 3400+, 3300+, 3100+, 3000+, 2800+, 2600+,
• Sempron™ 64 3400+, 3300+, 3100+, 3000+, 2800+, 2600+, 2500+ - introduced on 19th August
• Athlon™ 64 3400+ and Athlon™ 64 2800+ will become end of life as of 1st August along with Sempron 2200+, 2300+, 2400+ and 2500+ - all socket A

All AMD Opteron and Mobile product will be affected by the 1st August price move also.

New product introductions as of 1st August include:
• AMD Sempron 64 3400+
• AMD Athlon FX 57
• AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+

I would assume it is a cut, but stranger things have happened. Oooo looks like they've introduced some low range dual core processors, very interesting.

Most likely down. But I have seen AMD cpus go up in price too.

Yeah I bought this chip and it went up 150 bucks 2 weeks later and hasn't come back down.
