1) i would guess anything that's 50 dollars i suggest the grado sr-60. never heard them, but i've only heard good things about them. best value.

just for reference. i have the sennheiser hd 280 pros. msrp of 200 but i got guitar center to price match a price i got from the internet of 80 usd. they sound great. and if you do get headphones, make sure you get a decent amp. you'd be surprised in the difference in sound.

only with an amp will your headphones reach their full potential.

and btw: the only downside the the grado's are their comfort factor. uncomfortable. i've heard of solutions of replacing their pads with some of sennheiser pads that you can order.
