I am using an ASUS A8V-E Deluxe motherboard with an AMD 3200+ with 2x512 MB RAM (dual channel). I have just purchased a 1 GB RAM module to add on to this. However when I add this new module, the PC does not boot. I get a voice message saying "System failed due to CPU Overclocking". When I removed one of the 512 MB modules, and kept switching the places of the 1 GB and second 512 MB modules among the 4 slots, I finally got it to work, but in single channel mode. Is there any way for me to get both the 512 MB modules and the 1 GB module to work in dual channel mode? (Total 2 GB).
I have looked at the ASUS manual which doesnt say anything about having 3 slots (out of 4) populated.
Thanks.
