After running Spybot S&D, It finds lots of "backweb" stuff but leaves them unchecked for removal.

What exactly is this backweb stuff? Should I have Spybot remove it also?

backweb is updating tool

Backweb is something HP,logitech, and a few other companies install so that your computer downloads updates automagically...

I take it then that there is not much concern for this?

My computer is not HP...my optical mouse however is Logitech.

It is up to you, if you want to waste time updating, leave them, otherwise bin'em
