6600gt overclocked

ok i overclocked my 6600gt quite far i had like 554/1.18 cloose to that and i loaded up cs:s and got artifacts and my pc froze is there anything i can do to get rid of the artifacts at that speed?

Either set your comps voltage higher, or lower it just a few mhz, maybe like to an even 550/1.18

how can i raise the voltage?? bios?? i dont have that in my bios thought but im gettng a nicer mobo soon soo ill do so then

Well then it's back to the issue of underclocking a few mhz.

So you mean to tell me it stops artifacting at 530? Surely it can go higher than that.

Whats your ambient temp? Whats the GPU temp when artifacting? Im toying with mine right now too and have no issues at 550/1100. GPU temp in BF2 76 degress max.

dam thats annoying by the way what brand is it?? cos my gigabye one is fine at 580/1.3 in cs source and anything else i can throw at it never had my temps go above 75 and don't plan on it probebly gonna get new cooling for it somtime so i can hit 600/1.4 hehe i hope

Mines an eVGA didnt give it a good burn in before i started overclocking but im getting 568Mhz/1.04Ghz with out problems. Im using Coolbits 2, so i had to download the newest drivers for it to work out good.... Plus mines AGP and not PCIe -.-
