Hi all,

I need some info regarding Mac's...so I have a few questions and hopefully they can be answered, thank you.

1) a) What is an E-Mac and is it manufactured by Macintosh/Apple
or from a 3rd party company?

b) What is the difference between E-mac and I-mac?

2) When dealing with PC's that use Intel cpu's, the processor type
would be indicated as an example, P2, P3, or P4 at whatever
clock speed...so for Macs how do you go about determining the
cpu inside, would you say the processor is a G3, G4, PowerPC,
I-Mac, or G5?

I see many times PowerPc-G4 so I'm confused on whether or not a powerpc is a name for one of the processors used in Mac/Apple computers?

3) Is there a short cut key you can use to find hardrive space on a
Mac using os 10.1-10.4?

1a. An eMac is an all-in-one Mac manufactured by Apple. There are no third parties currently producing Mac clones, and their hasn't been since around 1997.

1b. The iMac is more powerful, thinner, and more expensive.

2. The class of processors is PowerPC, and there are different types of PPC chips, like the G3, G4, and G5. There is no iMac processor.

The PowerPC is the name of the processor, but the computer itself is called a PowerMac G4,a combo of PowerPC (the CPU), Mac, and G4 (the type of PowerPC CPU).

3. Yes. Click once on the hard drive, then hit Command (or Apple)-I
