xp problems...suggestions? thanks

im new here...no idiot to computers or anything...just got a new laptop and was pretty excited about it until i noticed the fact that my date is messed up...like right now its sunday mornin at 3:00 am and it should be july 23, 2005 but my computer says it is sunday july 24, 2005...idk what i can do really...i tried synchronizing it with both the microsoft and the gov one...and it didnt help out (i think because it synchronizes the time not the date...) any suggestions? im lost...

I came across something like this on my new comp a while ago too. I felt kinda silly when I figured it out, but who knows if it'll be the same as your prob.

When you double-click the clock in the lower right of your screen, click on the time zone tab on the window that pops up. Make sure that you have the correct time zone.

thanks...idk what the problem was but currently it looks like it/me has fixed it...ill check back on the problem tomorrow when its not 4 in the morning and im not sleep deprived
