brother buying a LCD

OK my brother has asked me what LCD screen should he buy. He comes to me for all his computer parts advice. I know alot about just about any computer part except monitors where am the weakest. Never spent the time to really study them.

My brother only gave me 2 requirements.

1. under $350
2. 19" screen

I currently looking at 2 for him

1. SAMSUNG 915N-Black 19" 8ms LCD Monitor $334

Which one of these 2 do you think he should choose?
or is there anouther one I should be looking at besides these 2?

Awesome monitors.

Between those two that you listed, I would get the samsung because it has better specs. The contrast ratio is higher. Also it "looks" better. Finally, I kinda trust samsung because they are known to make quality LCDs. Maybe Viewsonic does too, but personally, I would go with the samsung.

Thanks for the help and the links. The first one is just a bit to much money he made it very clear that he did not want to spend a penny over $350. The secound one is nice except the responce time 20ms and he plays alot of FPS. 20ms responce time sounds a little high to me.
