The kingston ram is not nationwide. Check your ads to see if it applies to you. If you can't find the ram for that price, I would just get 512 MB of this. 512 MB isn't THAT bad for gaming, and you can always add 512 more later. Just make sure that you close all unnecessary programs, and remove all the eye candy from the desktop before you play your games. There are usually super cheap ram deals, so I would wait like 2 weeks before I check the ram out.

Hope this helps. 26 dollars over budget......... But everythings calculated shipped. Hope newegg/etc don't tax you :)

By any chance would that 6800 come in 4x AGP? I would put it on this current one. The MoBo is old, but I have good enuff specs to play HL2 and BF2, just can't play it on medium or high :(

This P.O.S. also has a 250W PSU, and it recommends 300W. I was just saying I could go ahead and order the 6800 and then just use it on this current comp until I get the cash for the rest of the parts, since that vid card is under rebate.

It would be put under a Intel D845PT MoBo until I can upgrade, here is the link for the info on the MoBo: http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d845pt/sb/cs-013206.htm

Hmm, must be only in my area then. Even the Online Weekly add has it as 2700 yet my add I have right here in my hand has it as 22 for 3200. My advice is to check yoru weekly add.

That video card supports 4x agp I think. I would reccomend you get a power supply too if you get a new video card. I would just get what i listed, as its not half bad.

1.) you're just gonna get a pos system for $500...don't even try
2.) the AGP 6800's are compatible with any AGP, they just say "8x" because it looks better than saying "4x," but playing at 4x is no different than 8x
3.) your psu will probably be fine, or you can grab yourself a quality, but cheap PSU (TT silent purepower 420W) for like $40
4.) my suggestion? upgrade your computer to 1 gig of ram, update gfx to either 6800 (6800GT preferred) and grab yourself a TT silent purepower
5.) the better way to go would be just waiting until you have enough money to buy a complete, somewhat decent new system
6.) you can't just say "oh, i'm going to overclock my system" and expect to reach results more experienced overclockers get and don't expect like 20fps increase or something with your OC

Edit: In order not to turn this thread into a flame thread, I have private messaged you Counter-Strike. Please read the private message. Thank you.
