Wow thanks man you are a greater help than u can possibly know now I must ask two questions what graphics card besides the one I have listed can run doom 3 great at regular settings and is 290.00 or less and what are future GPU's that are comin out that I should look out for and do you know a site where the conitnualy update the tech of gpus that are coming out in the future. thanks a million man for ur help.;)
 
nm bout the first question you got me a pretty nice gpu I must say but now I still need help with the second one.

Yes it alot over your budget to begin with but if you can get that many tempoary then get the $50 back it right close to your budget. This would be by far the best you can do for that price in a game like doom 3.

The next best for doom 3 is the 6800 none gt

The geforce 6600GT I listed before is a good GPU and will save you a bunch of money. You would proberly be ok with the geforce 6600GT unless you planing on playing on setting like 1600X1200 with AA an AF on.
