I have an Intel D845PT old motherboard that originally came w/ my old Dell Dimension 4400 (Here is the link to the specs: http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d845pt/sb/cs-013206.htm). Now it's form factor is MicroATX. Here is my setup on that MoBo:

Intel P4 1.8 Ghz 400FSB 256k Cache
1 256MB PC2100 RAM, 1 512MB PC2100 RAM
VisionTek ATI Radeon 9550 AGP 128MB
60GB Maxtor ATA/133 "3.5

Now, I want to switch it from that old case to a new less $$ case. Here are the ones I am looking at:

Even though thr 2nd says just ATX, would it be guaranteed to work the intel MoBo I got with this dell? Or does ATX mean it only supports that type, and not micro?

Also, could I switch over the CD-ROM drive? I think I could, its a standard 5.25 inch one, unless they are custom Dell made :(

From the look's of it you would be able to switch that mobo to a new case no problem same as the cd-rom,The ATX case's will accept both atx and micro atx without any worry's.

Okay, can I get a 2nd opinion? Not to say I don't believe you, I just really don't want to have to RMA anything to Newegg. I need to be absolutely 100% sure.

I totally forgot about the PS as Trotter told you in the other thread,You will have to use the PS that you have now if you can or find an adapter,I know they make an adapter so you can use a different PS with dell board's but they are just about impossible to find :(
