The construction was extremely weak, and the drive bays were flimsy. I don't know, you can see that it was made out of steel. I guess I got a defective case or something.

To add to my apparent dislike of ECS boards, the Socket 478 ECS 648FX-A ...the bottom 2 USB ports and ethernet port is off, it won't match any IO plate. The only way of fixing it is using a dremel tool on the IO plate, and that's a pain.

i use to have a Jetway board, I hated that thing (ECS is made by Jetway, or vice versa, I'm not sure. But one of them makes the other) my Jetway sucked. It supposedly supported DDR400, but the memory would only stay at 333. And when I upped it to 400, it's supposed speed, it wouldnt boot. I tried many a stick in there, all 400, and they all read at 333. Peice of crap. Thing ran like shyt too.

This thread isn't for bickering, it's for warning readers against certain hardware, right?

Right.

Let's kep it that way. And that goes for everybody.

Advice only.
