No Operating System Found After Clone Sony Viao Pcvrz34g In True Image

CLONED MY FACTORY 160 GIG HD PCVRZ34G SONY VIAO TO A MAXTOR DIAMOND SATA ULTRA 16 HD 300GIGS STARTED UP THE NEW DRIVE AND GOT NO OPERATING SYSTEM FOUND. TRIED USING THE SONY RECOVERY DISKS AT STARTUP SAME ERROR. LOOKED AT THE HD AND EVERYTHING WAS CLONED. HAVE A ADAPTEC SATA CARD FOR THE SATA HD. HELP

I'm trying to keep the pc a sony. Thats why I tried to clone it. Is there anything else I can do? Is the problem xp or the sata or sony? thanks for your help
