Hey guys, just getting ready to order my new build and wanted to get some last minute input. Haven't built in a while and this is really my first "experienced" build so just want some second opinions before I order. If you see something that I should change for something about the same price just let me know :)

The only thing I am reasonably unsure about is the PSU. Will this one have the 24 pin connector? If not then make a suggestion.

As for the case I am thinking of the Thermaltake Sviking.

I know a friend who has one and it is unbelievably sturdy. I like the fan controls and the temp gauges but I will mod those in if I can't find a good case with them included. If anyone knows of a well-built case that is heavy and quite strong then let me know.

Total Cost $744

Ok Tell me what you think!

Everything looks really good!

Is there any reason why you are getting only 1 stick of RAM? And, is there any reason why you are getting anything other than value/generic RAM?

Value/Generic RAM performs no differently than fancy-expensive RAM, unless you start overclocking. I would definitely get regular ol' RAM unless you are going to overclock.

If you are going to overclock, I will let someone with more overclocking experience (like gaara or Nubius) give you recommendations on good overclocking RAM.

The PSU will be fine.

Thanks. I was just going to start with with one stick for now just so I can order it that little bit sooner. *excited* I will add on as the paychecks keep coming.

I will look for better ram. I don't think I will be overclocking my ram but I thought anything by OCZ would be good enough. Should I switch to corsair or something else?

Get the value vx if you can. Also remember to buy thermal paste. FInally, if your concerned about price, monarch has the lan party for 129 free shipping. Also, circuit city has a seagate barricuda 120GB IDE hard drive for 40 dollars after rebates.

no no no dont get the 6600 i repeat do not get the 6600 step up and get the gt bro ull kill urself if u order that card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
pay the 40$ and get the evga 6600gt beleive me even if u have to wait a month it will be woth it get the GT the 6600 isnt that good save up a lil bit and get the 6600GT

Thanks for all of the advice!

GT sounds good to me. They didn't have any in stock at new egg when I was going through my list review so I just put that down.

The cheap ram has me concerned though. I have seen in other posts that the lanparty board is picky about value ram. I have never heard of pqi so I would rather get more expensive/well known memory, but if more people tell me that pqi will work then I will get it.
