Well. If yhe mobo is suited for gaming and supports a nice gfx card. I would buy it as well. Even thoug Xeons won't beat a nice AMD setup. It would still be able to run any game and you could encode a video at the same time.

No one said you COULDNT play games....this guy was going out to make a 'gaming' specific machine 'with balls' at that....if he wanted a 'BALLS OUT GAMING MACHINE' his dual xeon setup would not have been the way to go.

You don't know what this kid actually built this machine for. All you know is that his friend says he made it for 'gaming'. How do you know the whole story? You don't.

I built my machine as a workstation first, and at the last minute decided to throw in a 6600GT. I'm sure lots of other people do similar things. Maybe that kid is a programmer/software developer like myself, and needs the horsepower for some reason.
