I know its not the greatest and stuff, but better than what I have, and all of this is practically free. Anyway, here is what I have so far:

atx case, w/ 450 watt PSU
MSI KT4V Version 10A with a 2000+ AMDXP
PNY fx5200 ultra 128mb agp card

Now, first of all, what kind of hard drive do I need to get to be compatible? Also, what kind of fans do I need to keep it cool. The room it will be in wont be hot though, if that means anything.

Thanks.

Ok well first off your motherboard doesn't support S-ATA hadrdrives, so u need an IDE harddrive, any ATA-133 should work such as this, if you want to buy a different drive make sure that it is 7200RPM and has an 8MB cache. If it doesn't you will notice a significant preformance drop.

As for cooling you can go with really anything, this would be more than fine for your CPU, you might want to remove the stock thermal pad on the heatsink and put some Artic Silver 5 but its not necessary.

Hope that helped

well if u want but the one at tigerdirect is 160GB for 49 after rebates, and ita ata 133, but its ur choice
