every time i try to open a quiktime file, i get an annoying messege that says please insert a different volume of something. if yuo click cancel about a gzillion time, it will eventually go away. today, i inserted a cd, it started the autorun thing, and then i remembered i had inserted the wrong cd. i ejected it, and the same annoying box came up. i clicked cancel about 10 gzillion times, and it did not go away, so i had to restart my pc. anyone know how to make this go away?

well, you can disable the autorun feature of XP and that will stop that from happening. Also, you can check the eventlog to see what the exact error is and then post that. That will show us what is happening a little better than your explanation...

Good luck
:)

type eventvwr in the run dialog, or right click my computer, go to manage. on the new window click event log from the list on the left.
