40c is 104F....it gets to about 105-110 here during the days, but yeah I don't have my computer sitting outside either....gets no hotter than 83F in here..
Also I here that most of the time with the cold cathodes is because users try to lengthen the wire in some instances for the cathode and I guess you aren't supposed to do it because it's made to work with a certain length...don't quote me on that as I'm not cold cathode expert....I got some white ones myself...those things are brighter than you think...they can easily illuminate a room......course now that I think about it, the only white ones I could find were labeled "very bright"
