problem with Battlefield 2

hey guys well i got my new corsair 1 gig of ram now and my 6800 gt pci why doesnt battlefield run well in high settings mode??

u mean high settings as in 16x AA and 8AF?

because that would be over kill, maby 4AA and 4AF but i would'nt go any higher.

Also what is your CPU?

what are your settings at, and btw I don't think bf2 even goes up to 16xaa

post more specs, the performance is not only based on ram and gpu... also, update drivers of you video card at guru3d.com and download the patch for BF2

Well my system doesnt run it too well. Beware that you will never be able to run the Lighting at max, it KILLS performance like you wouldnt believe. Also, BF2 is a system hog.

My settings are all high except for low lighting, and 2x AA. 1024x768 100Hz.

Guru, does having your refresh rate 100hz make much of a difference from 60hz

100mhz is much easier on the eyes but I dont' think yeilds to any performance gains

I havent tried 60, my monitor is very picky about resolutions and Refresh rates.

can't seem to find any patches for bf2... i checked the eagames battlefield 2 website.

Theres a 1.01 patch that comes with a memory leak and then theres a 1.02 patch that dosnt do much
