upgrading plz help

i have $400 CAD and i want to upgrade my system its one of the p4 1.8 Ghz and the person i bought it from he said that if i change the cpu i have to change the motherboard. so i want to get this for the cpu ....AMD ATHLON 64 3000+ PROCESSOR S939 WINCHESTER 1.8GHZ 512K L2 CACHE 90NM RETAIL BOX (ADA3000BIBOX) its at this site........http://secure.ncix.com/hotdeals/ yeai think this is a good buy...also i have to get a mobo but i donno which mobo will be good to go with with this?
