I checked the temp on my computer using a 775 3.2 prescott through the bios and it was 145 degree celcius (like 238 farenheit). I'm pretty sure that it wouldnt start up at the temperature. Something is rather odd.

If it was that hot you would be able to feel heat coming from it. I stuck my finger nearly touching the heat pipes closest to the cpu and it feels room temp. Its almost as if the Bios has a 1 before the normal 45 degree celcius. Like i mean its usually 45 C not the current 145 C.

message me with ideas.

It is probably reading Farenheit instead of Celcius.

Just to be sure, run MotherboardMonitor and see.

Nah havent tried that but its not a bad idea.

I turned it off and unplugged it let it sit and turned it back on and it worked. So I think that its ok now. Temperature is running at a solid 45 now.

Just imagine, how can it be 145c, man you guys are sometimes not even thinking at all. If it was 145C, you couldn't even turn on your computer.

Wouldnt be melted. Be burned all to hell and back. And the motherboard surely has a shut off feature before it reachs that temp or you wouldnt even be able to move the mouse.
