Why does everyone have AMD Athlons? Is it the value for price, upgrade options, or what? I always heard/thought that Athlons were cheaper with poorer performance, in opposition to the Intel chips.

AMD is usually 10-20% cheaper, I like to think AMD is geared towards gamers. I personally would of gone AMD if I didn't get such a good deal on my INTEL P4ht.
