This a reliable power supply???

Alright. Since i really dont wnna blow 100 or more bucks on a PSU, i found a 500W supply for aroun $29.99 Canadian.

ANyways, should i get this? it says something about..

"Protection Circuits for Inrush Current, Over Current and Over Temperature "

(found on page) which leaves me to believe it is safe and reliable.

O GOD...IT'S A POWMAX!!

They blow up. I've had one die after three days, and my friends have had similar luck. Don't get it, unless you like things that go pop or boom.

stay away from powmax. if you love your computer you will not even think of getting a powmax or any other generic psu for that matter. getting a good name brand psu not only is better on the life of your system, but it will usually leave you with potiental to overclock and to upgrade in the future.
