risky business with psu?

I got a 5 year old 300w aopen psu and I just added a new hd and dvd drive. So now I got 3 hds, a cd burner and a dvd drive, geforce 4ti and barton runnning at 3200+ speed. Wattage calculator shows now my usage is 295w, but the rails seem just fine, even under load. (I'll prolly buy a new vid card at the end of the year and by then i'm gonna upgrade my psu also.) Do you think it's risky like this?

I don't think it's risky... You'll find out soon enough if the PSU can handle a FULL LOAD.

If you buy a new power thirst videocard, you should sink some cash into a quailty PSU.

i would get a new PSU right now, it's safer, and you'll need one anyways...

if you got the money to waste, then go for that PCP&C

if you don't, a thermaltake silentpurepower 480W should work very nicely
