Power Supply?

I have a PX865PE Pro motherboard and a P4 3.0GHz processor running two CD Rom drives, a Geforce 6800GT, Two EIDE Hard drives, and two SATA hard drives. I'm worried that my power supply is inadequate. What kind of power supply should I be using?

I'm currently using a 300 watt power supply. I'm considering getting a 450 watt ATX supply. Are there any risks to buying MORE power than I need? Like say, if I went out and got a 600 watt supply, what would happen?
