Second monitor

Will a second monitor build up on my graphic card or will it take the task of one? (like killing 2 birds with 1 stone)
I own an Abit ATI Radeon X300 SE

He means will adding a second monitor stress the video card more than if there were just one... I don't know the awnser to that.
