Safely Remove Hardware<-- how i get rid of that???

maybe you have something else that is usb plugged in, like a modem, for example. open it up and see what is in the list. if you remove everything in the list, then it will go away.
 
Iv had this problem too... i think it is the usb ecause my printer plugged in had this problem.. hten i unplugged it an i just noticed it wasnt there anymore.. so i think its a usb reading summin...
 
I would think so. Our HP printer haas a card reader that windows detects as a "removable" device.

BTW, for those of you who thinbk you can just unplug file systems without "stopping" them, I would think again. Apparently windows caches data to be transferred sometimes, which could end up as bad news for everyone.
 
Mine is always there, but i have a printer and a joystick plugged in, so i think thats it
