Im planing to upgrade my processor to an Athlon XP 2gig(the fastest speed my motherboard can handle) and my video to a Radeon 9500 if it turns out to be better than a Ge force TI 4600.
My specs are in my signature

GeForce said:
- Gainward GeForce3 64mb DDR (first generation), flashed with GeForce3 Ti 500 BIOS!! :D

Wow, thats cool. How do u do that??? Arent there any dangers in doing that? Dose it increse preformance?

There were some risks taken, such as flashing the BIOS of a wrong video card. Luckily, the Gainward card I had (GeForce3 original) had pretty much the exact same hardware layout as their Ti 500 model, so I went right ahead. :D Some stability HAD to be lost, but it increased my performance from 15-20% in many games by setting the default frequencies to 240/500 (originally 200/460). Increasing the default frequencies is all it really does. If BIOS flashing is too risky, then it's better off to tweak instead.

Just to heed any warnings there before attempting to flash with the BIOS of a videocard of a diff. model. :)
