Some guy at CompUSA waas saying at a socket A sempron could run 64 bit windows... Tells us what they know huh? He however was also saying AMD was going to rule the world, so he might just be a wannabe.
Also, if you read anandtech's article about the new processors, you would know that the three core 3.2 ghz processors of the xbox360 is really hype. Its been speculated that one 3.2 GHZ IBM core will perform at the level of a pentium III 1.4 GHZ processor.

Even if you are right about the CPU's running at the equiv of a 1.4ghz p3 each. Well 3x 1.4ghz=about 4.1ghz...

That is still very impressive for a console system, considering that the games are specifically coded for that hardware...

Epic will have already started working with various branches of NVIDIA to prepare for the upcoming release. They've already got a psuedo-model for the graphics engine, and usually at that stage they start talking under the table about getting things together for compatibility and features.

No gaming company developes new technology for a game and then just lumps the game on the market and says "here, support this now." Long before the game is released, there is collaboration going on.

As for the whole CompUSA bull, come on guys...there's no need to suck up forum space trying to prove that the idiot doesn't know what he's talking about! We all know that hardly any of the people working in CompUSA's, BestBuy's, and Circuit-City's know anything. This is a universally understood factor. Enough.

People should stop saying what cards will run it, because you honeslty have no clue. There are little to no detrails released about that game, things are still very hush hush. The fact of the matter is, nobody here really knows whether or not the guy at tiger direct was in fact lying or not. Somebody said a 9800 could prolly run that game, and that is the stupidest thing I have ever read. You have no clue if a 9800 could run it or not. We know NOTHING about this game in all reality, and it could very well require more than 2 SLI'ed 7800's to run. Stop aking assumptions about what will and wont run the game, you really have no clue as to what the game is going to require.
