if u compare the standard 6600 with 256 to a 6600GT with 128, the GT will destroy the standard at everything. Remember when you are looking at memory on graphics card you also have to remember to look at the speed of it. because i know most standard 6600s use 400-500mhz DDR whereas all of the 6600GTs use GDDR3 which runs around 1200mhz.
It would definatly be worth your while to wait abit and get a 6600GT than stick for the standard 6600 or the 6200. with a new psu
