Will I notice a huge difference between these two when gaming?

OCZ EL Platinum Revision 2 1GB

OCZ Gold Series 1GB

they probably will perform the same since the timings are the same.

The difference is that the Gold uses winbond chips while the plat uses samsung chips. The Gold will maintain tight timings while increasing the FSB, but it needs more volts. The Plat however, doesnt need much more than 2.9 volts to get a high fsb. This however takes a hit on the timings.

So go with gold if I plan to stay at stock speeds but go with plat if I want to overclock ever?

If you want to OC just go with the OCZ EL VX... That's pretty much around the same price...$150...3.3V...

I can't find the OCZ EL VX. I think I'll just get the EL Platinum.
