Windows Not Starting

Hi, When I start up the computer it load windows but only to the point where it shows the picture that I have for my desktop. It will not finish loading. Does anyone have any ideas?

Windows ME with a 1.3 Duron, 192MB SDRAM, 30 GB HD, intergrated video and audio.

I'm sorry I forgot to say that Windows ME is fully updated with all service packs and updates

How long has this been hapenning? Have you made any recent changes to your PC? Any recently installed games, software, etc.? Have you tried rebooting in safe mode yet? I would try this first and then reboot again. If it still doesn't come up then 1st try bringing it up in Safe Mode, disable Active Desktop and then reboot in regular mode.
