Mobo: Gigabyte Socket 939 M/B GA-K8N Ultra-SLi, SLi/PCI-e/SATA

RAM: Geil Dual Channel PC3200 400mhz DDR, 1gb (2x512)

HDD: Seagate Barracuda HDD SATA 80gb 2mb

Video Card: GeCube ATI Radeon X700, 256M BGA DDR, PCI-e

Floppy Drive

Network: D-Link Network Card DGE-530T 10/100/1000, 32 bit

DVDrom - Samsung TS-H352A 16x/48x, Beige

Windows XP home edition

Task ATX Case Crystal TK-6110-02 Case, 400W, Metallic Black

Total: $1,415.70 AUD

Just wondering if all the parts are decent, and if this machine will be able to run the latest games ok.
thanks

did you take note of the AUD? australian dollar. $1AUD is roughly 75 american cents

For that price, around 1050 US$, they should provide a bigger Hard Drive and A DVD burner... The other specs are fine, you might not be able to play demanding games at their full potential but it will run Half Life 2 without a problem. Though not at the best graphic quality/performance.

Fred :)

price range. up to about $1700 AUD.
its just for home internet use, but to play online games such as WoW, guild wars, battlefield 2.
I only need 80gb HDD, thats what i have now and i dont even use half of it

If you can, throw in a 6600GT video card instead of that x700. It will deliver MUCH better gaming performance and should be about the same price.

bingo

does it make much difference that the 6600GT's memory is 128mb whereas the x700 is 256?
