It seems only yesterday i was playing counter-strike 1.3 on my dell demention L and the top processers were in the pentium 3 range.
Any way im trying to say is that technology is moving fast and in no time my parts are out dated. There are some outdated parts on my PC (Power supply and graphics) and i want to see how long they will last in the gaming world

im planning to get a 450 watt power supply and a 6600GT.
How long will they last in the future even on low settings?

Don't get that 450 watt one. That is a very bad brand. Here, I found that 350W one for $57 on another site using pricegrabber:

It seems to be a reliable site because 1369 reviewers gave it 4 and a half stars out of 5. The 6600GT should last you quite a while.

Doubt itll work with a dell, power connectoors are different.

PC Power and Cooling makes Dell PSUs.

Dell cases are also 2 narrow for a standard ATX PSU

The PSU I listed is MicroATX, and that's what he said he has, so... IF you do need a different PSU, then yes, PCP&C is the way to go.

oh sorry, i accually have a new gaming pc. The Dell thing was just a saying, i dont use it any more but some of my newer pcs parts are outdated. so i guess awnser the question in that persective
