Okay heres my prob hopefully someone can help me out.

Okay im problem is this whenever im playing FPS games and games that are full screen , It will lag out every 5-14 seconds and my cpu usage jumps to 100% and then goes back down low and then jumps again, ive tried 4-5 diffrent drivers,pci slots.

Lower the quality of the Games and see if that helps and try running in 1024x768 or even 800x600. Also you should probably defrag and maybe it is time for a Reformat, how long have you had your system for?
 
Yea ive tried lowing the quality didnt help, and ive had my system for 3 year i think ive upgraded the ram and the GPU. and if i would reformat would that erase windows xp, i dont have a disk to reinstall.
 
ya obviously if you want to reformat it will erase everything.. you have to have another HDD to put the information in the there, and transfer it again.
 
just create a new folder and then copy and paste all the folders to the new folder.
