Dell ram

Hey guys I just got my sick new system but I used my old dimension dell 512 Ram stick in the new set up ( Be aware im a Noob in training)
and was Wondering to get to 1 Gig do I need to match the old one and buy another dell one?

Nope. Try and figure out what type of RAM that was, and go out and buy that RAM from another manufacturer (like Corsair or Kingston).

Run CPU-Z and it will tell you whether it is something like PC-2700 or PC-3200, then like macdude said you can go to newegg or a similiar site and find the right stuff.
