can't find my second hd

What was your method (step bys step) of formatting your HDD?
I would guess that somehow the D: lost its partition else, lst its filing system.
If your method was using FDISK, go back there and make sure that the 2nd HDD infact has a partition or that it is either formatted in FAT32 or NTFS

Does your bios find them both at startup?

It does. It cannot show in Windows (Disk Management) otherwise

ek/esine if i do that i would loss all the data on my hd. i don't want that

not if its the unpartitioned hdd, that means there is nothing on it (nothing CAN be stored on it, it doesnt know how to store it yet)
