This looks like a nice place to ask about what's been bothering me for a while.
Ok, first off, I'm only 16 and English isn't my native language so excuse some possible misunderstadings. Also, my knowledge of computers isn't the best. Thanks

So, here's the deal. My homepage on IE and Firefox is google.com. Everytime I try do a search on anything in Google, I get a page like this: http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/8214/google3zf.jpg. Furthermore, every link on that page and the main Google page changes the address bar to www.google.com/search.php#, but the page itself doesn't change.
I've heard it could be a browser hijack problem, but I'm not sure. If necessary, I could post my HiJackThis list.
I guess this should have been in the WWW forum, but as I have some more problems with my PC, I decided it's better to mention them all in one topic.

Now, my second problem is with MSN Messenger. Everytime I run it, I get a message from Windows Installer, which says:
Please wait while Windows configures SpywareRemover.
When I click Cancel three times (because it usually appears again after the first and then again after the second cancel), it stops and Messenger is running normally. So, it's not much of a problem, it's just a bit annoying. How could I fix that?

The third question is not so important, just curious. In my startup list, there's an entry named Adobe Gamma, and the command line for it is C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Calibration\Adobe Gamma Loader.exe
I'd just like to know what it is and if I can disable it, cos I could use a faster startup (only 256 MB of memory :p).

Btw if it helps, here are some specs:
Windows XP Professional SP2
Intel Celeron CPU 1.70 GHz
256 MB of RAM
nVidia GeForce FX 5200 (I guess that isn't very important, huh?)

Hope I was clear enough

Post us a log.
Do you have spyware remover installed on your pc? Is it a legit program? If not remove it. If it is, you made need to reinstall it.
Post a screen shot of msconfig in startup. Make sure to expand the entries and do several screen shots of it because we will not be able to see all entries.

Here's the HiJackThis log:

Yeah, I have Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06. They're both free so I guess they're legit. I use them once a week or two.

And here are the startup list screens:

In msconfig, disable everything except ccApp and VPTray and reboot. I'm looking at your log now.

Ok, I deleted the entries you told me to. I had done a Spy Sweeper scan meanwhile and the two O2 entries had gone. Here's the new list:

I disabled everything except ccApp and VPTray in the startup list, but after reboot I checked it and it also had NvCpl enabled. I disabled it, but after another reboot it was still there (and it is now).
Oh btw, Google works now, thanks.

What about the two other questions I posted (about Adobe Gamma Loader and MSN Messenger)?

nvcpl is Nvidia graphics driver

Adobe Gamma Loader is not nessacary, I dont run it (even with adobe products installed)

Also, the MSN Plus you downloaded, is a virus.

Yeah, I've installed Messenger plus (downloaded from msgplus.net). Ok, the only enabled entries in the startup list are ccApp, VPTray and NvCpl.
What about the services tab? I've disabled Symantec Event manager, Symantec Settings manager and InCd Helper (Ahead). Can they stay disabled (among a lot of other entries that were already disabled), does it matter for the PC-s startup speed and is there anything else I could disable for better performance?

I would just leave the services alone. If you are still going to use Norton, turn the service back on and you will be done.
