Could someone give me a build-it set up that would be the cheapest I could build but would still get good frames on games like Doom3 and BF2. I want it to be a complete system (components, case, monitor, and speakers).

Alright cool. I gotta go figure out my exact price range then I'll pm you.

Power supply- Epower/Tangan 480 Watt 70 Dollars
DVD burner- NEC 3540A 42 dollars

I left out keyboard/mouse/speakers, but you can get some cheapo ones for like 15 dollars. Should be a good system, and will give you overclocking headroom if you ever decide to take the plunge.

Other choices for mobos would obviously be DFI-Lan party or Epox NF-4.

Ya the stats make it look like a better choice, but it looks ugly.
lol, yeah well I think I'm gonna go with a CRT anyway because they're a much better value for your money right?

and which mobo should I get?

Well, CRTs are a better value, but LCDs look cool, and gives you all that room. For the mobo, any of the mobos I listed are good enthusiast Mobos.
