newb here. hdd replacement question

^none at all. when i tried to see if it would fit, only about an inch of the hdd goes in and if i were to let go it would fall.

i would just let the hard drive lie down on the bottom of the case, but im pretty sure that isnt safe lol.
 
i dont see why that wouldnt be safe, just dont tip ur pc over ar anything, the hd would go flying and smash into the mobo... ouch
 
well the only time id move my computer is to open it up to make more upgrades. but will heat issues be a problem if i were to have my new hdd just lie on the bottom of the case??

yea i should think that would be fine.

u can have an external HD?
and theirs always ducktape that u can rip in thin strips and hold the hd down
 
i wouldnt say the duct is a bad thing. it helps to kepp the air flowing to where it is needed. uder it there should be a heatsink on the processor and a fan on the back of ur case pulling air out thriugh the back past the heatsink
