converting clipboard file to bitmap file

i want to save a picture of my desktop in a bitmap(.bmp) format but wenever i try to and click the saved file icon it says "no preview available". PLZ HELP!!!

I am not exactly sure what you are saying???

are you trying to save a screen shot?

if so then press the print screen button on your keyboard, then go into paint and edit > past

if that wasn't what you were talking about, then please be more specific...

or have you already done something like this and the file you saved won't show a preview??
