hey guys, new to this forum, good to be here. well, i have a problem. i have picked up a trojan horse virus from somewhere, according to norton antivirus. im gettin a lot of popups where i havent ever gotten any before. my homepage has changed all of a sudden. and im gettin websites in my favorites that i havent put there. norton 2005, spyware killer pro, and a program i downloaded(cant remember the name) will not get rid of it. any suggestions?

Goto the Norton website, and type in the virus name that shows up in the warning, or when the box pops up saying you have a virus, there should be a link that you can click that will take you to that page so you can see steps to getting rid of it. That should take care of your problems. Just follow the steps on the site.

unfortunately sometimes the only solution to a virus is to grab what you can then run from the fire so to speak. backup what is important that youre pretty sure isnt infected and then do a clean install. im not saying do that but sometimes that is the only solution.
