SATA is much better but it is now supported too widlet yet but if you can find all the relaible part GO FOR IT!

yah, i would go with sata, its much better, and if youre going to build a whole new system, get the msi 865pe or 875p neo(2) fis2r (its neo on the 875 and neo2 on the 865) they both have 4 sata channels, 2 of which can be run in raid

no, it is not always 2 hard drives. raid's main benifits are a combination of increased reliabilty and speed, but not always both of those.

Hopefully this will help. It doesn't include a newer RAID technology (RAID10) but it does go into great detail about the concept of RAID.

Raid is Connecting multiple HDDs together and they act as one drive.

Pros: Supposed to be faster, larger single disk space

Cons: if one of the multiple drive dies you get stuck with piece mail data and you cant do much with 1/2 a prog.

hmm Raid (10)? that must be new Ive only heard of Raid0
