Omega Mini Wireless Optical Mouse --> Puzzled!!

Hi,

I just bought an Omega brand mini wireless optical mouse for my notebook, it comes with the whole package, usb receiver, mouse, 2 AAA batteries... But this will sound stupid... where the hell do I put the batteries!!? There is no door or slot visible in the mouse. Do I sound like a complete idiot or this is a case of poor design and manual?

are you sure its for the mouse. To me it looks like you can pop that top off some how, try that look for something to pop that top part off. its wireless so i dont think it does go in the mouse it should go in that usb receiver i may be wrong but check both parts.

It has to go in the mouse the receiver draws power from the usb port.

true but some need to have them but that mouse should have in the intro how to putn them in.

usually the manual has it in there I am surprised they dont.Oh well look little harder .Did u check the companies web site they some times have more detailed manuals there.

Yes, I did check the website for more instructions and guess what... there was none. I went to http://www.omega.com.tw/.

Also, the batteries are supposed to go in the mouse, the receiver is like a pen drive, too small to hold 2 AAA batteries, so the only logical place is the tiny mouse, besides what matt2m said is correct, the usb receiver draws power from the usb port.

I did find one screw at the bottom of it, but when I un-screw it, the only thing visible was the mouse circuitry card.

In the manual it only states: "Put the batteries in the battery box". Cool, huh?

Any other ideas? I'm really confused.
