Is there much of a difference between SATA and Ultra 100?

Board supports Sata but Ultra ata 100 is a lot cheaper at bestbuy.

There is a bit of a performance difference, but not a huge amount. SATA really starts to shine when you have more than one hard drive. If you are looking to add a hard drive to a computer that already has one, then get SATA.

No difference at all between sata 150 and IDE 100. Hard drives hardly use all the bandwith, so it doesn't make a difference. Buy the IDE best buy drive.

you should be trying to get Ultra 133, that is basically the new standard. Those HDD's are a few bucks more tops and they give some more performance.
