Stock Intle HSF sucks somethin fierce.

Looking at the Antec P180 that should help my cooling problems some considering my current case blows as well however i still need help deciding on a Heatsink/Fan for my 3.6 775 p4.

I know the Zalman is good, and I know Thermaltake makes some quality parts

I dont really have a "target" temp, just as long as it will keep it running more smoothly than it is now.

high high high
with my new antec neopower which cannot remove as much air as my old psu, (I need a new case) my temp right now according to ASUS probe is 64 cpu/51 mb

EDIT - I exited out of winamp and my cpu temp dropped below 60 but still is high

True. I got myself a Thermalright XP-90. It dropped my temperatures by 25 degrees, dunno if you'll get the same drop but I highly reccomend it.

Can Running your computer with the case off damage anything?

With the case removed, my temp lowerd to 45 idle

The stock HSF is the best air cooling for the LGA775 cpu, with thermal pad. . Maybe you did not install it correctly?
