building a computer

OR Antec SLK1650B Black Mini Tower w/ 350W $75
(I am not sure on which case I should use. I would perfer the second one because it is cheaper and comes with a 24 pin motherboard connector which I need for the motherboard i have chosen but I dont know how the airflow will be on this computer. Any input will be helpful on this one.)

Motherboard: MSI RS480M2-IL $113.00
(ATI Radeon Graphics Xpress 200)

CPU: AMD Athlon64 3000BP socket939 (Venice) [stock heatsink] $181.00

Memory: OCZ400512PDC-K (256Mx2) DDR400 $69.00

Optical Drive: NEC ND-3520A 16X DVDRW Double Layer $59.00

Floppy Drive: Panasonic 1.44MB floppy Black $15.00

Hard Drive: Seagate 120G-8MB Buffer $98.00


This is not for gaming which is why i chose a motherboard with onboard video.
So what does everybody think? Its a budget pc so I didnt go too far with it. (all money is canadian dollars).

thanks for the quick reply. What case do you think I should use? I am not sure if the second one would be any good for the athlon 3000, but I am not sure at all. It probably is but id rather have someone elses opinion on it.

Thanks for the info. I will pay the extra $7 for a 160gb hard drive. Any ideas on the case though?

most cases will do fine for your needs. i ahvea raidmax 668wsp, and it's a great case for the $80 i got it for. 6 case fans (80mm), removable mobo tray and slide-out hd trays. plus it comes with a 420w psu.

Woah! 6 fans seems too much for my needs. This one I believe has only a 120mm fan at the back and some type of air flow thing for the CPU (see link below). Is that one exhaust fan along with the PSU fan enough to cool the computer, or should I get more?

This board has better integrated graphics. Also try getting 1gb of ram. They sell them pretty cheaply.
