My laptops been acting funny. It's a Compaq EVO N1020V and sometimes when I turn it on the screen will be completely black and it will not beep at all. Sometimes if I shake it or tilt it to the side while shaking I will get the monitor to turn on and the computer will finally boot. Do you think there could be a loose connection? What could be causing this? I don't know why shaking or tilting it would cause it to boot.

neither do i but shaking it is probably not the best thing to do. i know sometimes things like that work but generally while that may work somethin else will get broken.
