pc restarts continuously

Hi all
My PC is Pentium I siemens. I am running windows 98 on it. Yesterday i worked on it then when i shut it down, it instead restarted. I actually reselected "shut down" not restart. The same problem continued until i just decided to turn power off.
Help me solve the problem please

What have you done to your pc lately? Installed programs,, etc etc. Any error messages?

few new programs

I have installed the program pagemaker 6.5. That is what i last used and nothing more.
