(Leaving the case and cooling till last..)

I'm obviously using it as a gaming pc. I learned OC the CPU from 2.2ghz, to 2.8ghz would be no problem, 3ghz probably, obviously need better cooling.

Would like to keep the CPU and the HD.

My budget is £850 - 1275 Euro.

All prices above are without tax, I figured buying off powersellers on eBay would be better, they normally have the prices less than the shop prices with tax added on. Normally its about the same with the tax not added ie. the original prices above.

Would love if you could help me a bit with the specs.

Thanks.

In my opinion, I would stay away from maxtor, especially if you are letting them have the sole control of your files. They fail more then anything else I know.

Get 2 sticks of 512mb ram instead of 1 stick of 1gb. That way you can use Dual Channel with your 939 setup.

Also, I think your motherboard is alright. But if you are planning on overclocking like you are, it probably isn't the best choice.
- I would either go with an Abit board, or the Ultra version of that Giga-Byte that has the DPS system on it, it is INSANE!

For those of you who don't know what 'Gigabyte GV-RX80L256V
' is, its a X800XL -> Now personally, I don't like this choice but its actually the best card ATI has out yet when you put price vs. performance. So if you absolutely must go ATI, then go with this... BUT, if you are looking for a good video card, bumb out another $70 or so and get the nVidia 6800GT, you will be much happier.

'- K8 Universal-plus Dual Power System (K8 Universal-plus DPS)'

The MB i chose has the DPS.

Btw, thanks for this. I originally had the seagate barracuda HD at 200GB, dont know where i found, but it told me to stay away from seagate..

6800 GT it is. :)

*Btw, the RAM was 2x512 TwinX, sorry, I had a few specs wrong, edited post.

Final spec so far.

Anything wrong?

Well I think it looks good. The only thing I would pick at is that you are using an XFX branded 6800gt, people here either love them or hate them. And I don't like XFX from experience with their mainboards. I would try to get an eVGA. MSI isn't bad, and neither is Giga-Byte, some like BFG but I think they are more expensive.

Changed the motherboard, getting some advice from a pro :p

New MB. I should have known to change my last one, it was still with my radeon graphics card..

This 1 is SLI, all good. :)
